Dear Parents

Welcome to Milkwood Primary School. Milkwood Primary School is a school where the learners and educators care about each other. The medium of instruction is English and we welcome all children, regardless of religion or culture.

In our school community, we believe that learning is the most important thing we do. We also believe that the learning process for our learners should be fun and an enjoyable experience. It is our goal to provide your child with the tools required to become a life-long learner. Our educators are highly trained and have the ability to apply the latest techniques in and out of the classroom.

As Educators, we would like to get to know the learners and their parents. One of the ways of doing this is by using an “open-door” policy. Learners are free, at any time,. to show the principal good work or to discuss problems in the confines of the office. Parents are also free to contact the office at any time during office hours.

We see Milkwood Primary School as a happy, structured learning environment for all cultures within the framework of our Value System, based on Christian Principles.

Each pupil’s individuality is promoted and life skills are provided in the learning process so that each child becomes a responsible, productive and self-motivated young person. Positive learners are nurtured and encouraged to develop relevant skills, concepts and attitudes that will enable them to contribute meaningfully to our changing society in which all are considered equal.

We have collected some information that we think will be helpful to you as you prepare for your child’s schooling.

On behalf of the learners, educators and Milkwood parents, once again welcome. We look forward to you becoming a part of our family!
